TypeEd’s Heroic Final Crit

Graphic designers will be gathering for a test of typographic strength and show how they have protected our local citizens from bad type. Their work will demonstrate how extraordinary logotypes, script lettering, whisky labels, menus and book spreads can save lives of consumers, whisky drinkers and even restaurant guests.

In what promises to be one of the most compelling design and type discussions, TypeEd, the educational program of typography and typesetting courses in Los Angeles, will lead participants and spectators through best design practices in saving readers time and confusion.

General Assembly will host this type talk mashup of negative space, typographic color, hierarchy and swashes. The 2-hour power critique will be followed by an hour of socializing and raffle prize giveaways.
