Rachel Colón

Is a multimedia artist and designer from Los Angeles. Her vision is to uplift and bring people together through visual storytelling. The work she creates is multi-dimensional, often layering colors, textures, and mediums. “What I enjoy most about being a designer is the ability to visually communicate emotions, experiences, and important topics in our community. It is important to me to design for the people and make work that will be not only inclusive but gives others a voice who may not have one.”

“With this idea in mind, I felt compelled to create a design for the Mail Out the Vote campaign in Spanish, in order to reach audiences that might be marginalized during this election. With 13.5% of the U.S. population being native Spanish speakers, it seemed even more important to get the word out about the importance of voting to everyone.”
