IS VR FOR REAL?
WED, FEB 15, 6:45–9PM | HERMAN MILLER STUDIO

Until now, our experience with media and storytelling has been 2-dimensional at best. We have been limited by words and our imagination, or by images and our ability to interpret them. But the hype around virtual reality is big and, judging by these articles, the opportunities to alter how we interact in the world are immense.

So what does this actually mean for our everyday lives? For the work of designers? For ability we have to solve problems for businesses or for society? Tonight, in partnership with the Herman Miller Studio, we will discover the question Virtual Reality is raising in our ability to tell stories, solve problems, build new careers, and, possibly, find new solutions to the problems we can not solve.

NONAME VENTURES PRESENTS: IMMERSIVE MENTORSHIP
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: FRI, MAR 10, 2017

This course is taught by Chris Graham, Co-Founder of HYFN8 and Co-Founder/Managing Director of NoName Ventures, along with Philosophie team members that are experts in Product Strategy, Design, and Engineering and have an established track record of advising startups and enterprise innovation teams.

The course follows the inverted classroom model — reading is distributed before class to minimize lectures and emphasize doing and making. Each class focuses on applying practical concepts in groups that simulate real teams, ensuring retention of core skills that can be directly applied to your business immediately. Upon completion of Immersive Mentorship, students will have the opportunity to pitch their startup to the Noname Investment Committee.
