AIGA LA Fellow Kim Baer leads a conversation with Medalist Sean Adams and Fellow David Mayes about Pushing the Press, an exhibition featuring 15 years of Typecraft's best print-work. Hear personal insights and commentary from three LA design luminaries, and then join us for the after-party and experience the show for yourself.

About Sean Adams
Sean is the Director of the Graphic Design Graduate Program at ArtCenter, founder of Burning Settlers Cabin studio and on-screen author for lynda.com/LinkedIn. He is the only two-term AIGA national president in AIGA’s 100 year history. Adams has been cited as one of the forty most important people shaping design internationally and one of the top ten influential designers in the United States. He is an AIGA and Aspen Design Fellow, as well as an AIGA Medalist. Previously, Adams was a founding partner at AdamsMorioka.

About Kim Baer
For over thirty years, Kim Baer has been a staple in the Los Angeles design community. Her firm, KBDA, has created research-driven work for clients as diverse as the Getty, Nike, the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles, the Skirball Cultural Center and the LA Philharmonic. Kim is a former AIGA national board member.

About David Mayes
At Typecraft, David works closely with artists and designers helping bring their creative visions to life on and off the press. He’s proud to have been providing print-production services to Los Angeles for over 34 years. David was named an AIGA LA Fellow in 2012, and has previously served the chapter as Treasurer, Education Director and Development Director. He is the co-curator of the Pushing the Press exhibition, a celebration of the enduring power of print as a medium.
