We are excited to introduce Perk: An exclusive salon for AIGA Professional Members Only. Perk is salon series that will provide thought-provoking discussion for and among LA design professionals with varied topics designed to engage and inspire. Our series kicks off with “Design Practice in a Down Economy” led by John Clark. We will discuss how clients manage in difficult economies, building ‘Client’ business versus ‘project’ business and developing long term Client relationships and how to Train design staff to support long term, stable.

 

John Clark is the founder and design director of Looking. Before establishing Looking Studios, Mr. Clark developed an extensive background in design direction both here and abroad including Büro für Visuelle Kommikation, Rolf Müller, Munich; GNU Group, Sausalito and Houston; and Cross Associates, LosAngeles. Looking’s broad range of corporate and institutional clients includes AIGA, the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, the Los Angeles Public Library, L.A.
