Imagine your creative business being transformed by someone who has represented dozens of LA's most important designers and design firms; someone who has taught business management to over 6,500 students at Art Center College of Design and other design schools across the world.
Imagine the impact such knowledge will have on how you operate and who you attract as clients.
Getting Down to Business is a three-part workshop led by legendary design business instructor Errol Gerson and created specifically for creative entrepreneurs who want to strengthen and grow their design businesses. Whether you're an indepedant designer, a freelancer, or a small business-owner, Errol will demonstrate how to accelerate your business with financial and development tools you can use to plan for growth and sell for success.
In this initial session entitled Financial Wellness, Errol will examine and explain the role and importance of financial statements and the accounting process. Three critical requirements of a sound financial management system will be covered—score keeping, attention directing, and problem solving. We will explore the relationship between growing a business by objectives and financial statements (P & L, balance sheet and cash flow) for managerial decision-making.
