Unveiling the Automotive UX: a holistic process of designing vehicle UX
Sunny (Inn Sun) Park will give an overview of the state of automotive UI design in general and in particular, how the classic design process is transforming into a more integrated and holistic approach. New trends and technologies impact collaboration between designers, engineers, and researchers. We need the right balance to create a great UX with successful teams, and a holistic approach can leverage all relevant aspects of the experience and orchestrate the vast amount of functions the vehicle has to offer.

ABOUT OUR PANELISTS

Rolando Monterroso is a first-generation Guatemalan American UX Design Architect at DirectTV and an Adjunct Professor of UX Design at Woodbury University. He strives to creatively concept experiences that engage users to interact with content. With a wide array of skill sets to delight clients and consumers, he is able to wear many hats to keep the audience engaged and increase sales. With over 10 years experience of creating marketing materials, he has been establishing campaigns for large and small companies, giving life to new brands with new identities, adding and growing already successful brands. Notable brands include: Kaiser Permanente, Lionsgate, Disney, Electronic Arts (EA), Paramount, Sony, Warner Bros., Nickelodeon, etc.

Sunny (Inn Sun) Park is a UX/UI designer located in Los Angeles County. She has been working for Honda R&D Americas, where she is responsible for creating user interfaces and experiences for the next generation of vehicles and concepts for future human-machine interfaces deployed through mobility platforms. Sunny is a passionate designer dedicated to crafting exceptional digital experiences with a deep understanding of user-centered principles. She has been utilizing her skill sets for designing meter and center screens in the Acura MDX, Honda Prologue, and upcoming Honda vehicles, as well as building design systems for other mobility-related platforms. She also served as a Programming Director at AIGALA and contributed to the LA design community.
