Still Life In Motion: A Fireside Chat and Robotics Demo with Matthew Huber

Los Angeles photographer and inventor Matthew Huber is breaking new ground in the world of stop motion animation. In addition to his experience as a published creative and product photographer for clients including Gap, GMC, and MasterCard, Huber is exploring a new type of robotically enabled stop motion animation designed to produce beautiful and unique high-quality motion experiences.

Join us for a fireside chat and live robotics demo with Matt Huber, where he will share examples of his work, challenges of working in this new medium, a sneak peek at his workflow, and future uses for the technology. The presentation will be followed by Q&A. Drinks and pizza will be provided.

About the Artist
Born and raised in Atlanta Georgia, Matthew moved to New York to attend the Pratt Institute. While getting his hands dirty with all things art, he fell in love with photography and began his career in conceptual still life. In 2010, Matthew’s foray into the world of motion visuals was acknowledged when “The Huber Experiments, Vol. 1” was selected out of over twenty thousand submissions and honored as one of the 25 videos on YouTube’s ultimate playlist, unveiled and presented at the Guggenheim Museum.
