Join us for our upcoming event with AIGA President, Ashleigh Axios. Ashleigh will be joining us remotely from Washington D.C. to share her journey as a designer, social advocate, AIGA President, and former White House Creative Director. She’ll also be walking us through With the World on Fire, an insightful and information-packed talk on the big and small lessons of a designer who works to make positive social change during times when the world seems to be perpetually set on fire. Learn about some of the biggest global issues of our day and the various ways creatives, and anyone with heart, can adapt their thinking and practices to help enable change.

ABOUT OUR SPEAKER

Ashleigh Axios
Ashleigh Axios is an international speaker, strategic creative, and an advocate for design's ability to break barriers and create positive social change. She is Chief Experience Officer and a Partner at Coforma (formerly &Partners), a digital consultancy and design firm that crafts creative solutions and builds technology products that support communities. She is a national board member and President for AIGA, the professional association for design, which advances design as a professional craft, strategic advantage and vital cultural force. Axios formed and led the in-house creative agency for marketing, communications, and brand identity solutions at Automattic, a technology company on a mission to democratize publishing and commerce. Prior to her role at Automattic, she served as the creative director and a digital strategist in the Obama White House. She is a past president of AIGA Washington D.C., where she formed DotGov Design, an initiative connecting and empowering government designers.

Proceeds for this event make all of our programming possible so we may in turn fairly compensate our speakers, fund our programs & outreach, and operational costs. AIGA Los Angeles is a nearly entirely volunteer-run 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and are thankful for your continued support.

This is a virtual event using Zoom. Once you are registered, an email will be sent at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, April 14, with a link to join the online event.

This event will be recorded and registered ticket holders will be able to gain access to the recorded session at a later date.
