Is VR for real?

Brought to you by Fjord

“Virtual Reality will Change the World.” “How Virtual Reality will Change Interior Design.” “How will Virtual Reality Change our Lives?” “Will VR Change the Way Architects Design?” “Why will Virtual Reality Change Design Forever?” “Virtual Reality will Change Business as We Know It?”
...These are just a few titles of recent articles about the Virtual Reality.

Until now, our experience with media and storytelling has been 2-dimensional at best. We have been limited by words and our imagination, or by images and our ability to interpret them. But the hype around virtual reality is big and, judging by these articles, the opportunities to alter how we interact in the world are immense.

So what does this actually mean for our everyday lives? For the work of designers? For ability we have to solve problems for businesses or for society? Tonight, in partnership with Fjord and the Herman Miller Studio, we will discover the question Virtual Reality is raising in our ability to tell stories, solve problems, build new careers, and, possibly, find new solutions to the problems we can not solve.
