AIGA LA is pleased to recommend for your consideration the following slate of candidates for the 2021–2023 Board of Directors. If elected, each nominee will serve a two-year term. The slate is afforded an up or down vote, as a whole. A majority of the votes cast will determine the vote. Only current members of AIGA are permitted to vote, your membership number will be required. Please note, the lack of a vote is counted as a ‘yes’ vote. Our goal is to inform you as to the potential new board members. Please see below for the each candidates’ biography.

 Venessa Baez-Jones
Venessa is a self-taught, multi-disciplinary designer who is passionate about helping you use your design powers for good — a value woven into each of her side projects, including teaching on Skillshare and streaming on Twitch Creative. Her previous community building experience includes serving as president of AIGA Tampa Bay and social media director for AIGA LA. During daylight hours, she contributes as senior graphic designer at UCLA. Venessa can be found relating to the world through music and speculative fiction; “Going to Mars” by Judah & the Lion remains her favorite song.

 Jazmin Infante
Jazmin Infante has over a decade of professional design experience. Having worked in the fashion, beauty, wellness, real estate, automotive and tech industry, she has a versatile skill set and deep understanding of core and universal design principles. While not all work can be inspiring, she believes that all work can be inspired, and she is passionate about sharing her learned experience with others. She is currently the Senior Designer of Corporate Brand at ServiceTitan, which ranked #11 on the 2020 Forbes Cloud 100 list of the world’s top private cloud companies.
MARKETING DIRECTOR
 Marina Murad
Marina is an award-winning designer and art director living in Los Angeles. She creates unique visual advertising campaigns for the entertainment & tech industries. Previous clients include: Apple, Netflix, Amazon, Yahoo, DC Comics, Billboard, The Hollywood Reporter, Huffpost, Verizon Media, and Live Nation.
MEMBERSHIP DIRECTOR
 Jean Pongsai
Jean approaches each project individually by evaluating and understanding the larger goal of the project. At her core, she aims to produce work with clients that contribute to the world. Whether it’s creative designs for influencers, to developing an identity for established or new brands, to cultivating a mentorship experience for novices, Jean aims to leave an inspirational mark for the community touched by design.
PROGRAMMING DIRECTOR
 Sunny Park
Sunny is a UX designer who loves to explore and design engaging experiences to users by utilizing skills and strategies she’s gained through multiple disciplines including UX, UI, visual, motion, and industrial design as well as engineering.
