About Our Moderator
For 45 years, Errol Gerson has taught Business Management, Entrepreneurship, and Leadership at Art Center College of Design. In 1978, Errol co-founded a Business Management/CPA firm, with staff of 120 people and offices in four cities. The firm represented designers, photographers, illustrators, architects with a large music division representing mega-touring bands.
He is a featured speaker at colleges, universities, conferences and symposiums, and consults with companies worldwide on strategic management and marketing planning. Errol is a highly valued AIGA member, supporter and advisor.
Our Panelists
Kim Baer is the principal of Los Angeles-based design studio KBDA, she is a strong believer in the power of design as a strategic tool. Her firm has created research-driven work for clients as diverse as the Getty, Amgen, Hyatt, Nike, the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles, Inner-City Arts, the Skirball Cultural Center, and the LA Philharmonic. KBDA specializes in helping organizations hone their positioning and messaging. Once that messaging has been crafted, KBDA is well known for its focus on audience experience, whether that is expressed online, in print, or in a 3D environment.
Margo Chase founded Chase Design Group in 1986, and has consistently produced award-winning work in many areas of design. Recognized worldwide for her skill with custom typography and identity development, Margo is dedicated to creating client success. Her vision provides the fuel for Chase Design Group’s growth and achievement. After training in biology, she discovered graphic design in graduate school and was hooked. She has taught typography classes at Art Center College of Design and California Institute of the Arts.
Agustín Garza has been a leader in the field of intercultural communications with a focus on brand strategy, positioning, and destination branding solutions in the United States and internationally. He’s a member of the Design Council of Mexico, where he helped two former presidents develop positioning and branding solutions for the country. He served as the president of AIGA Los Angeles, as well as on the NEA Mayors Institute for City Planning, the L.A. Cultural Affairs Design Steering Committee, and the L.A. Mayor’s Design Advisory Committee.
Arturo Perez is the founder and CEO of Kluge Interactive, an LA digital design agency that is at the forefront of merging design with business strategy to create experiences that engage and excite users. Prior to Kluge, Arturo worked for Growthink, a business consulting boutique. When he isn’t surfing, Arturo hosts Evenings at the Loft, a design speaking series, and is the Design Director for Silicon Beach Fest.
