Design in Los Angeles: Felix Beltran Poster by Rachel Fishman and Louis Alvarado

Recent Otis College of Art and Design MFA Graduate, Rachel Fishman, was selected to design a visiting artist lecture poster in collaboration with a Senior BFA design student, Louis Alvarado. The visiting artist was Cuban designer Felix Beltran who worked during the Cuban Revolution for the Communist Party of Cuba.

Fishman and Alvarado were so inspired by the work that he did during the revolution, they decided to go for a hand drawn approach and decided to use found materials.

Felix Beltran’s lecture was on November 7 at the Otis College of Art and Design.
